Bio-bibliographical Notes: Born and raised in Salerno, Erminia Passannanti studied Modern Languages at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Salerno. Passannanti's first poetry collection Noi altri was published by Vanni Scheiwiller in the anthology I 5 Poeti del Premio Laura Nobile (All'Insegna del Pesce d'Oro, 1993). In 1991, she was one of the five winners of the first edition of the Italian National Poetry Competition, "Laura Nobile." A selection of 30 poems from her collection Noi altri was published in 1993 within the anthology I Cinque Poeti del Premio Laura Nobile (Edizioni Vanni Scheiwiller), with an introduction by Franco Fortini. In 1995, she won the First Prize in the same competition, Laura Nobile , with her collection Macchina .
